"Ways Of Keeping Men Connected In Relationships

Are you short of ideas on how to make a man want to stay with YOU? Seeing women go after men and beg them to stay is really terrifying. For most women finding a man isn't the issue, rather what's more important, is how to completely make a man love you and stay with you forever... That's more challenging isn't it? So from a male perspective, I'm going to suggest few ideas on how to make your man want to stay with you and only you. 1: Don't Try To Be More Funnier This might sound crazy to you but truth is, it actually affects a man's ego. You don't have to restrict yourself before your man because you're encouraged to be fun and outgoing. But you don’t have to surpass him on that point. Let him be the comedian in the relationship which means that comedy is up to him. You get to chip in just every now and then... it keeps things new. 2: Hand Him His Own Freedom Well, this definitely doesn't mean splitting up with him just so he can be free in his ways. He can be free while he is in a relationship with you. You just have to allow him to. That way, he will not feel as if you’re keeping him bound too tightly. Do not strangle him with only you alone. He also needs his friends or his family’s company as well. Let him breathe and give him space to spend time with his own undertakings. Let him miss you! 3: Remain Fit and Sexy A healthy and good-looking body shows that you care enough about yourself and you respect your body as well. You do this and that and apply that extra effort because you want to look as physically attractive, alluring and as sexy as you can. He will admire you and get more attached to you for it. You will make him excited by you every time you see each other and his ego will be undeniably stroked by being seen with you. 4: Be a Good Cook Hey, slow down. You don’t have to strive hard just to be the best cook in town. You just need to know a thing and be decently good at it. The only way to a man’s heart is through his stomach” is also imperative as to what really turns on a man’s interest in you. If he likes eating a specially prepared type of food or has something in his favorite’s list, learn to cook it the way he wants it. It’s not that stressful to research the ingredients and procedures, right? 5: Be Happy Take note of this because this is very essential in a relationship. One effective way to make your man happily stay with you is for you to also be happy. No good man wants to be with someone miserable and boring. When you smile, remember that it is contagious, so smile often and maintain that happy aura. Men love seeing women express and show their great love and appreciation with them. They always want to feel valuable and important. Effort may go a long way towards that destination and may require a lot of work, but if you persevere enough in doing these things, then he will also eventually put the effort in and make you even happier in return

Pope Francis Bows For Queen Rania Of Jordan

The Pope who is the leader of the world's 1.2 billion-strong Catholic community, protocol usually dictates that visitors bow to him when they meet him at the Vatican but the Pope has once again shown his willingness to break with tradition by bowing to Muslim royal Queen Rania of Jordan as a Vatican official said the new Pope Francis 'is not interested in protocol'

'Francis behaves as he did before he became pope and is not interested in protocol', a senior Vatican official told Journalist.

Up until the 19th century, those meeting the pope stoop to kiss his slippers and, to this day, the tradition remains that all visitors, including women, bow to him, the official said.

He even took a "selfie" picture with young teenage girls to show that he is well in tune with modern life
The pope has already amassed more than three million followers on the social networking site Twitter, with his latest picture believed to be the first ever 'papal selfie'.

Pope Francis has made a concerted effort to understand and integrate with worldwide youth since he succeeded Pope Benedict XVI as he has already charmed the masses with his informal style, simplicity and sense of humour.
He has also being known to personally call people up who have written to him asking for prayers or told him of personal tragedy.

What a good way to go by a leader with simplicity and humility

uk is addiction capital centre of europe

The UK has become the drug and alcohol "addictions capital of Europe", a think tank has warned.
The Centre for Social Justice - set up by Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith - said drink and drug abuse cost the UK £36bn a year, reports the BBC.
Its report warned that the UK has become a hub for websites peddling potentially dangerous "legal highs".
The CSJ also criticised the government for failing to tackle heroin addiction and cheaply available alcohol.
The report, No Quick Fix, found that last year 52 people in England and Wales died after taking legal highs, up from 28 the previous year.
The substances, sometimes referred to as club drugs and including Salvia and Green Rolex, are often marketed as bath salts or research chemicals.
But the drugs can be sold legally as long as they are clearly marked "not for human consumption", but have been known to cause permanent bladder damage, blood poisoning and death.
According to the Centre for Social Justice (CSJ), there are now more than 130 UK-registered websites selling the products cheaply by mail order - making postal service workers unwitting drug mules.
The think tank said one in 12 young people in the UK admitted to having taken legal highs - the highest figure in Europe.
It said a faster system of prohibition was needed to deal with legal highs, as 150 new substances have come on to the market in the last three years, while the government has managed to ban just 15 in the same period.
The report also attacked a failure to offer heroin addicts effective treatment.
A Freedom of Information inquiry found that 55% of councils in England have had funding for residential treatment cut since the coalition came to power, despite Prime Minister David Cameron pushing for more residential programmes.
The report said that almost a third of people in England on drug-substitute prescriptions such as methadone have been on them for four or more years, and one in 25 for more than 10 years.
Nelson Mandela, 95, was discharged from the hospital on Sunday while still in critical condition and was taken by ambulance to his Johannesburg home where he will receive intensive care, the office of South Africa's president said.
On a sunny but cold morning, an ambulance took the anti-apartheid leader home from the hospital in the capital, Pretoria, where he had been since June 8 when he was admitted for what the government has described as a recurring lung infection.
Mandela's condition "is at times unstable," said President Jacob Zuma in a statement Sunday.
"His home has been reconfigured to allow him to receive intensive care there," the statement said. "The health care personnel providing care at his home are the very same who provided care to him in hospital. If there are health conditions that warrant another admission to hospital in future, this will be done."
The statement Sunday from Zuma's office said during his stay in hospital Mandela "vacillated between serious to critical and at times unstable" and that "despite the difficulties imposed by his various illnesses, he, as always, displays immense grace and fortitude."
Referring to Mandela by his clan name, the statement continued: "Madiba has been treated by a large medical team from the military, academia, private sector and other public health spheres. We thank all the health professionals at the hospital for their dedication."
There has been an outpouring of concern in South Africa and around the world for the transformative figure who led the tense shift from apartheid's white minority rule to democracy two decades ago in a spirit of reconciliation.
Zuma urged South Africans to accept that Mandela had grown old and frail, saying all they could do was pray for him. During his hospitalization, well-wishers delivered flowers and messages of support to the hospital where he was being treated, and prayer sessions were held around the country.
The government has released few details about Mandela's condition, citing patient confidentiality. Mandela has been particularly vulnerable to respiratory problems since contracting tuberculosis during his 27-year imprisonment. The bulk of that period was spent on Robben Island, a prison off the coast of Cape Town where Mandela and other prisoners spent part of the time toiling in a limestone quarry.
Mandela, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, is feted around the world as a towering figure of reconciliation. Despite being jailed for his prominent role in opposing white racist rule, Mandela was seemingly free of rancor on his release in 1990, becoming the unifying leader who steered South Africa through a delicate transition to all-race elections that propelled him to the presidency four years later.
The United Nations has recognized Mandela's birthday, July 18, as an international day to honor themes of activism, democracy and responsibility embodied by the former leader.

mode 9 go tough on naija music

Babatunde Olusegun a.k.a mode 9 went all emotional on hotfm’s breakfast radio show with TuTu Adeoba and Cheezy Charles on his type of non-commercial rap, he re-affirms that he can never change his type of rap to suit an audience and decries neglect on his type of rap’
‘I put out a whole album nobody cared’ ‘A whole 20 track album ‘alphabetical order’ nobody gave a f**k’, nobody cares. You see how the industry is’ how do you expect me to feel? ‘Nigerians don’t like hip hop they only follow the hype, they don’t even know what it is’

I only cater for my real fans; I don’t really care about the fair weather, band wagon jumpers ‘I cater for my fans and they are feeling it’ i have put up too much effort in promotion of my materials’
“It’s just some certain people in their minds feeling that I’m not doing well’ I have decided I am going to attack anybody who calls me up and asks ‘where have you been?’ I have attacked everyone that has done that, I am not afraid of anybody. It’s just the way they think. If your music is not playing in clubs then you are not putting out the best. My music is not club music;  I didn’t put out a club album. Real fans of Mode 9 know where it’s happening and know how to get it. They’ve seen it on TV and they loved it. So I think I’m doing a great job. Imagine you doing all this and someone walking up to you and asking, common where’ve you been? Imagine how bad you’ll feel after spending millions of naira to promote yourself from your own pocket.

He also cleared the air about the purported biff with Vector concerning controversial single ‘the truth’ released in July allegedly by Vector which was widely reported as a diss track targeting mode 9.
Mode said “I don’t have any biff with Vector. Vector was even on my album. The night that song was released, Vector called me and said someone was trying to sabotage him. He said the song was recorded in 2009 but whoever pushed it out in July had some part doctored. Since Vector called me before the song started making the waves I believed him. I even tweeted that I’m cool with Vector. We both tweeted that we are cool with each other. But people still went on to blow the story; begging for a war; I’m sorry but we won’t be given anybody a war”

rosalia mera the founder of zara clothing line pass on

Rosalia Mera, a seamstress who co-founded a clothing store in northwestern Spain that grew into Zara, one of the world's largest retail chains, has died at the age of 69. She was Spain's richest woman.

Inditex SA, the owner of Zara, issued a statement Friday confirming her death but did not provide more details and declined comment via email. Spanish media widely reported that Mera, a major stakeholder in Inditex, suffered a stroke while on vacation on the Mediterranean island of Menorca and died Thursday night at a hospital in La Coruna, the city where she was born in Spain's Galicia region.

Mera founded the first Zara store in 1975 in La Coruna with her then-husband, Armancio Ortega. He is listed by Forbes as the world's third-richest person.

They were originally going to call the store Zorba after the "Zorba the Greek" movie, but there was a bar with that name a few blocks away from the site, so the letters on the Zorba sign were rearranged to spell out Zara.

The store specialized in low-priced versions of more expensive popular clothes, and the formula turned into a success for store openings across Spain and then internationally.

Mera held 6.99 percent of Inditex stock, according to company filings at the Madrid stock exchange, and her fortune was estimated by Forbes at $6.1 billion. The magazine says she was the world's 195th richest person but was in the No. 1 spot on its list for "wealthiest self-made woman."

She also became known for voicing opposition to the current conservative government's plans to change Spanish abortion laws. Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy is a close ally of the Catholic Church on moral and social issues, and has repeatedly said he will revise Spain's abortion law, though he has not yet tabled any proposals. The previous Socialist government passed a law allowing 16 year olds to get abortions without parental consent. Mera said that law is "just fine" and "should be left as it is."

In addition, she opposed government cutbacks in the name of austerity affecting Spain's cherished education and national health care programs.

Besides the Zara chain, Inditex also owns retailers Bershka, Masssimo Dutti, Oysho, Pull & Bear, Stradivarius, Uterque and Zara Home. There are 1,763 Zara stores around the world, and Inditex has a total of 6,058 stores and 120,000 employees.
Not many are aware that former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-kayode and former beauty queen, Mrs Bianca Onoh were heading for the altar in the late 80’s, but the wheels of their love life was clogged by an unexpected event.

Bianca Odinaka Olivia Onoh, the sixth child of Late Chief Christian Chukwuma Onoh, the second republic governor of the of the old Anambra state, had met Femi Fani-kayode while she was studying for her A- levels in Cambridge Tutorial College. The latter was also attending the University of Cambridge for his Master’s Degree programme in law.

Sources revealed that the beauty was already a queen before they met. Bianca had won the MISS MARTINI, a beauty pageant organized by the beverage company known as Martini Rossi, while schooling at Yorkshire in England. Then, Femi, whose father was the second Queen’s Counsel{Senior Advocate of Nigeria} that Nigeria produced, was finishing his Master’s programme, while Bianca was settling down for her combined honours degree in Politics, Economics and Law at the University of Buckingham.

The two later found each other in Nigeria. While Femi had finished the youth service programme, Bianca had also transferred to the University of Nigeria, Nzukka, where her father had compelled her to study law. Late Chief C.C Onoh, a lawyer and expert in land matters had genuinely and strongly guided his children into reading law.

Later, as the current Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain was done with her programme and out of the university, the former aide to ex-President Obasanjo was getting set to join his father’s law chamber. Around this time, another lady, Miss Saratu Attah had equally found a place in Femi’s heart. She soon got pregnant for him. The pregnancy of Saratu Attah, whose father, Alhaji Adamu Attah, was the second republic governor of Kwara State, reportedly set the relationship between Femi and Bianca on the edge of ruins.

Sometime in 1997, at the wedding anniversary of Ide Ahaba, Chief Sonny Odogwu in Asaba, Delta State, Bianca, who was already married and equally expecting her first child then, had told a frontline celebrity journal, when she was asked about his botched marriage plans with Femi Fani-kayode that “it [the marriage] was not meant to be… I met FFK in London and we both dreamt of having a beautiful home, but things didn’t work our way. I know that he’s married now,” she said.

The marriage plans collapsed because Femi had impregnated Saratu, who later gave birth to Folake, the first child of Femi Fani-kayode, who now holds a Master’s degree in law. Bianca went on with her law programme and later joined her father in his chambers.

However, our source did not provide further on the level of intimacy between Bianca and FFK. We were told that such is left for the duo of Bianca and Fani Kayode to disclos

I'm so sure you haven't forgotten him. After lying low for months, NSCDC's Shem Obafaiye has finally granted his first interview. And in it, he revealed how his life has changed after his 'Oga a the top' saga  -  the shame, the joy and the fame that came with his much publicized interview with Channels TV.
Read excerpts of his exclusive interview with Theheraldng below:

What is your opinion about the Channels Television interview that brought you instant fame?

I have nothing much to say other than to bless God for everything. I thank God for all that happened; I thank God for my boss, his support and love. He is a good boss and I appreciate him. As far as I am concerned all things work well for those who love God and in all things, the Bible says we should praise God.  The people that thought they were going to ruin me did not know that they would end up in announcing my destiny.
In the history of humanity, there had never been any human being that had instant fame like I did especially in a case that was meant to end negatively.

My brother-in-law in London is even so excited about the incident that he promised to assist me make big money out of this supposed mess. He had already handed the matter to an agency over there to trade mark “Oga at the Top.” But I just asked him to forget it.
There is no need for that.

Many of my class mates are in top positions in Nigeria currently, yet, they said I did not go to school. I can mention a lot of them here, including the Attorney General in Lagos State, Ipaye.

But why should I do all that. All the same, I give all the praises to God.

It was not the first interview I would be having with them (Channels Tv). After that interview we shook hands and I even gave them my complimentary card. I could see that they were not really cheerful. If there was any effect, it was on them and not me. It was the same day I met with Governor Fashola of Lagos State.

Theirs took place in the morning and I met Governor Fashola later in the day. Some people believed they were up to something, but I did not know. I was only being careful with words as a security officer. We apply caution in all that we say and do. It was a live programme, the whole world was watching us, so, I did not want to be too free.

But like I said, I thank God for everything. I blame nobody for anything; I see everything as an act of God. They believe they would use it to destroy my destiny but God turned everything around for me, for the better.

How did your family take the development?

The day of the interview, 16th of March, 2013, was the day my father was buried. It was as if it was designed to destablise me on the day of the burial of my father, but it was not so. It was three or four days after that they apologised and said it was not meant to embarrass me.

Channels felt bad because it backfired. Anybody that wants to go for an interview in Channels will be very skeptical now and henceforth. I just felt it was my time for divine announcement, so I did not take it the way they thought I would take it.

In fact, when I saw the T-shirt, I wanted to buy one. Some had thought that my transfer to Ibadan was a demotion, but they are wrong. It is not. They also claimed that my wife went to Channels over the issue. The question I asked was, to do what? She did not. The whole thing has only turned around to be God’s glory in my life.

What is your philosophy of life and how did it apply in the case of “My Oga At The Top” case?

My philosophy of life is to impact positively on this generation. I want to leave a legacy, a good and worthwhile legacy behind that will not make my family live or walk in fear when I am gone. I want to sustain my good name; and that is what I preach to my staff every day.

I tell them to be open-minded; be determined; do what you will do with your best ability whether people are there or not. Note that there are people watching you and your work will speak for you when you are not there. This is what I always tell them.
